What is it with ISP customer support nowadays? Just when I thought that I’ve escaped one set of rude incompetents, my new ISP proves they can’t read, either. Here’s what I wrote them: I’m a customer of your cable broadband service. I have trouble reaching a specific IP address from my home computer, even though [...] Ok, I’ve been lazy and haven’t posted much lately. So sue me. Lots of things happened this week. Most notable: April arrived in the area for the MAAWG conference. I finally met her after working together for almost 5 years. Went together to a couple meetings and met a bunch of interesting people working on [...] Arrived yesterday but didn’t manage to get online until now. Sunny but fairly cold weather. For some crazy reason that I can’t understand, everybody drives on the left side of the road. This leads to strong feelings of insecurity when attempting to cross the street. Went out last night with other freshly-arrived Googlers. One striking [...] Lots of stuff handled today. Mostly done, except for minor things (like, packing up my bags). Leaving from Brasov tomorrow morning at 6:30 am. Saying goodbye to friends sucks. Work visa was approved today. Still lots of stuff to handle tomorrow. |
